THE BURIAL AT THEBES"Everything I've touched I have destroyed.
I've nobody to turn to, nowhere I can go.
My recklessness and pride I paid for in the end."
In a modern translation by Seamus Heaney of Sophocles' Antigone,
The Burial at Thebes is a Greek tragedy about the conflict between family and
state in a time of crisis.  Much of the music was written to create an atmosphere, more than
it was to convey a melody, and this is especially true of Tiresias' theme
			and Dionysus. Opening Music
